Tiger cowries have been prized as a decorative shell since Roman times and it’s easy to see why. This glossy shell is white underneath, with teeth-like serrations, and deep brown spots on top. Why is it called a tiger cowrie when it’s spotted not striped? We don't know!
These typically measure around 6cm long and 5cm wide. Colours and sizes will vary; these are natural shells and the photograph is of a typical example, not the shell you will receive. If you have any particular requests in terms of colour or size, please pop them in the notes - we’ll do our best to find the shell that comes closest to what you want!
