Gluggle jugs are fish-shaped water jugs - with a twist! They produce an amusing ‘glug glug’ sound when poured. A versatile product, they can be used as a water jug, wine carafe, vase, utensil jar or ornament.
First made in the 1870s, these novelty jugs were made famous by Dartmouth Pottery in Devon. When the pottery closed in 2002 Wade Ceramics bought the fish mould and have been producing the jugs in Stoke ever since.
Capacity 1.3L (5-6 tumblers). Measures around 27cm high. Made from vitreous porcelain. All glazes are 100% food-safe.
