Featuring a design created using a free-embroidery technique by designer Tina Crawford, these fine bone china egg cups feature a naughty seagull homing in on some chips. The design came from Tina noticing that lots of coastal designs feature beach huts and bunting. "I looked back at my holidays and it was more like clouds, hideous chalets and vulture-like gulls" says Tina. "It doesn’t take away that I liked the holiday, but it’s a tongue-in-cheek, real look at the Great British holiday."
Anyone who's eaten chips on the steps in Margate will relate! One egg cup features the seagull and the words 'wish you' while the other is decorated with the portion of chips and 'were here'.
Designed in London, made in Stoke on Trent.
Egg cups measure 6cm high by 4.5cm diameter.

Tobyboo is artist and designer Tina Crawford, who studied at Central St Martins, and went on to work in television - her first job was creating ‘makes’ for Zoe Ball on CBBC! Tina became ill years into her career; housebound and in chronic pain, she re-trained in machine embroidery nad has since created products for the likes of Hermes, St Paul's Cathedral and Kew Gardens.
