Krampusnacht at the Grotto

JOIN US FOR AN EVENING OF FESTIVE FOLKLORE

Part goat, part demon Krampus is the evil counterpart to St Nicholas. In Germany, Austria and Eastern Europe, Krampusnacht falls the evening before St Nicholas Day, and sees Krampus punishing naughty children and handing out coal.

Author and illustrator Rob Flowers joins us this Krampusnacht, 5 December, to sign copies of his new book, Festival Folk, and explain more.

Brave visitors can venture into the Grotto – specially decorated for the occasion – to meet Rob’s version of Krampus and have your photo taken with him. Krampus has gifts – but will he be happy with your behaviour this year? (hint – probs not)

Drop in between 6pm and 8pm, with a short talk from Rob at 7pm. We will be serving mulled wine and stollen, with entrance into the Grotto only £2. Come join us to spread some Christmas fear!
